If your diet is rich in junk food, this is something which you should change. A diet which is rich in junk food often leads to constipation. On the contrary, your diet should be rich in high fiber foods. The diet for treating constipation should be rich in vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Fiber rich fruits should be a part of the diet as well. If you think you are constipated, consuming fruits like papaya, watermelon, banana, etc. can prove to be useful. Green leafy vegetables also prove to be a good remedy for constipation.
As we all know, the liver produces a green colored digestive juice known as the bile. The production of bile is necessary to ensure proper digestion of food. It is a known fact that stool formation takes place in the large intestine. When the bile enters the large intestine, it eventually turns yellowish brown and then mixes with the stool. This is the reason why stool appears brown in color. However, if the bile and the stool formed move quickly out of the large intestine, it is unlikely that the bile will become yellow. So, with the bile color remaining the same (green), the waste matter also appears greenish-yellow during bowel movement.
Black Duodenal ulcer, internal bleeding in the upper section of the GI tract, i.e. esophagus, stomach or first section of the small intestine Consumption of highly concentrated iron supplements, large quantities of olives, licorice, blue berries; heavy intake of alcohol, improper blood flow to the intestine, and vascular malformation
Bacteria e.coli and bacteria salmonella may cause green stool; however, the cases detected with the aforementioned causes are rare. You may be diagnosed with salmonella poisoning that is transferred into the system, through consumption of non-palatable dairy products or consuming meats that are not well cooked and remain more than partially raw. The presence of bacteria may cause food poisoning due to which symptoms of diarrhea may surface. Thus, green-colored feces could reflect food poisoning as a major cause.
