Have you ever been in comfortable company and spoken about the color of stool? On an honest note, not many people appreciate talking openly about their bowel movement sessions. It, normally, is a topic that is shunned and detested, especially on the dinner tables! However, it should be borne in mind that the stool color in adults can cause involuntary worry.
For stool to pass properly through the bowels, fiber is needed. Fiber gives the stool its bulk and helps its movement through the intestines. When the fiber content is less, the stool has less bulk and becomes hard, dry and is more difficult to pass out. This leads to constipation, bloating and even rectal bleeding at times. Thus, it is important to consume high-fiber foods like fruits and vegetables. Including whole grains to the diet is also helpful. People with mild constipation problems can obtain relief just by consuming a high-fiber diet. Moreover, this a good stool softener for children.
If you are suffering from constipation, immediately begin the diet of raw vegetables and fresh fruits. As fruits and vegetables are a good source of dietary fiber, you can rest assured that it soften the stool and help in hydrating your body. Include fruits such as prunes, pears, blueberries, lemon, guava, apples, strawberries, oranges, grapes, figs, papaya, pineapple, peaches, and apricots. As for vegetables, eat Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, corn, potatoes, celery, lettuce, peas, green turnips, and carrots.
As adults eat proper solid food, their stool color normally varies from light to medium brown. Their stool color meanings can be easily revealed as any change in their normal stool color can be a sign of some or the other disorder.
